Meet the Authors

Michael B. Hayes is a partner in Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department and serves as co-chair of the firm’s E-Discovery practice. His practice concentrates on commercial litigation and government and corporate investigations. Michael is frequently called upon by clients and colleagues to provide legal knowledge and consultation concerning electronic discovery issues. He is a frequent speaker and writer on cutting-edge electronic discovery issues and takes great pride in successfully navigating clients through the discovery process. He received his J.D. in 1998, cum laude, from the Beasley School of Law at Temple University and is a 1994 graduate of La Salle University where he received a B.A. in English.

David F. Herman is an associate in Montgomery McCracken’s Litigation Department. Prior to joining Montgomery McCracken, he completed judicial internships with the Honorable Petrese B. Tucker, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; the Honorable C. Darnell Jones, Judge, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and the Honorable Arnold L. New, Coordinating Judge, Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Complex Litigation Program. David graduated, magna cum laude, from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law in 2014 and received a B.A. in History in 2008 from Franklin and Marshall College.
